Two weeks to go before our final harvest and start of feed and medication.  We will be checking for brood disease and honey stores this week.

Regular meeting this week.  We check all colonies for feed, a laying queen, and disease.  We will also roll six colonies for Varroa.  It is an important task that requires detail and thoroughness.

Regular meeting.  We need to feed syrup and apply the second of four formic acid pads.  The first treatment was applied Monday of this week.  We will apply 4 treatments, 5 days apart.

2021 AGM at Centennial Lodge is open to all members who have paid their dues.  The meeting will include a discussion of club goals for year 2022.  See you all soon. p.s.  The Centennial Lodge is just north of the bee yard in the same building as the Art Gallery.

We are feeding syrup and pollen patties this Saturday and possibly merging two weak colonies, if the weather warms a bit.  Bring a bee suit if you have one.

Module 4 will be discussed - Chalkbrood and Varroa on the bottom board.

Some of our colonies are growing into large populations and we need to plan removing brood to prevent swarming.  This week we will discuss spring build up, equalizing, and making increases.  Please pre-read module 5 in the Education Section of our website.

Regular meeting - New beekeepers start at 9:30.  Everyone else 10:00 start.  Discussion is the beekeeper's calendar and the start of the main honey flow.
