Welcome to the New Westminster Beekeeper’s Association!
Our primary goal is to provide training and camaraderie for our members. During the bee season, March to October, you will be provided with the opportunity to work with the club beehives, which is the best way to learn about bee management, swarm control, and disease prevention.
Almost weekly, you will enjoy a 15 to 30-minute presentation followed by a hands-on demonstration where you can literally get your hands dirty (and sticky), working with the bees. You can then apply your newfound knowledge to your own backyard bees!
Membership costs $50 and expires December 31. A jar of honey is provided to each club member that participates during club honey extraction, usually twice per year (July and August). Club activities are sent to members through ‘WhatsApp’, linked to your cell phone.
