Welcome to the New Westminster Beekeeper’s Association!
Our primary goal is to provide training and camaraderie to our members. During the bee season, March to October, you will be provided with the opportunity to work with the club beehives, which is the best way to learn about bee management, swarm control, and disease prevention.
Established in the spring of 2015 this ‘practical’ bee club is unlike any other. We meet almost weekly from March to October in the bee yard. Each meeting starts with a 15 to 30-minute presentation from an experienced beekeeper followed by hands-on experience for all beekeepers who wish to participate. The club currently owns up to 16 colonies and the members share bee management tasks under close mentorship. It is the absolute best way to learn or to hone your beekeeping skills!
